Below you’ll find a selection of datasheets and information for our nano connectors which are available in standard or custom configurations.

Nano D-Sub Miniature Through Hole horizontal Mount Connector

Thru-Hole PCB Mount

Our thru-hole to PCB Nano D-Sub miniature connectors are designed for use with rigid PCBs with circuitry terminations either at a right angle or straight to the connector.

Thru-hole connectors provide stronger mechanical bonds between PCB layers than SMT connectors, making them ideal where they may be subjected to mechanical stressThese connectors are also available with space-rated configurations, designed and manufatured with specialized materials and tested to ensure reliable performance when subject to harsh vibrations and withstand irradiation.

Available with 9 ~ 69 contacts and guide pin or locking nut options.

Nano D-Sub Miniature Surface Mount Vertical Connector

SMT PCB Mount

Our range of SMT PCB Nano D-Sub miniature connectors are available in three different PCB mounting options; Vertical, Horizontal and Straddle for flexible PCBs.

SMT connectors have a smaller PCB footprint than thru-hole connectors and are surface mounted without the need to drill holes in the PCB making them suitable for smaller PCBs.

Available with 9 ~ 69 contacts and guide pin or locking nut options.

Crimp Contact with Cable

Our range of crimped cable contact Nano D-Sub Miniature connectors are available in various different mounting configurations with cable size, specification and lengths customizable to your preference.

Crimped cable nano connectors are suitable for all applications and can be supplied with or without tail covers to provide cable strain relief and shielding options.  These connectors are also available with space-rated configurations, designed and manufactured with specialized materials and tested to ensure reliable performance when subject to harsh vibrations and withstand irradiation.

Available with 9 ~ 69 contacts and guide pin or locking nut options.

How does Twist Pin technology work?

The Twist Pin contact enables the connector system to meet the most severe requirements, often significantly more so than stipulated in the MIL-DTL-32139 standards. The male Nano-D contact is made up of 10 strands of beryllium-copper and copper alloy twisted together, welded then bumped to form a bulged point.

This area of the contact is compressed inside the turned female socket contact during insertion and a high number of electrical contact points are permanently assured whilst retaining flexibility and ease of insertion/extraction. Both the socket contact chamfer and the twist pin semispherical radius contribute to ensuring adequate insertion even in case of misalignment.
